Name Affenpinscher occurs from a word affen (that in a translation from German the monkey means). Was considered that the Affenpinscher is a hybrid of a monkey with a Pinscher.

The Affenpinscher has not deserved due interest because of the unattractive shape of "the moustached imp", unlike its near relations - the Bruxelles Griffon, the Belgian Griffon and Petit brabancons.

Despite everything, an Affenpinscher - the fine family and room doggie, very betrayed to the owner and the family. It is cheerful, sensitive, betrayed, dared and it is obstinate enough. The remarkable friend and the fine watchman, bark warning about occurrence of strangers.

The Affenpinscher will be ideally suited for the elderly person or the lonely woman, it does not require long walks and is easy in leaving.
