In ancient times such dogs lived in Belgium on each court yard. This dog helped to cope with cattle, to protect property and the house of the owner. In those days still nobody reflected on thoroughbred cultivation, therefore a Bouvier mixed up with other breeds and were practically dissolved in hybrids.

Bouvier - purely working dog, without the magnificent external data, but possessing excellent working qualities. To appearance of these dogs never gave values. Ardennsky the Bouvier does not demand careful leaving, its rigid wool is necessary for combing every week, to wash only if necessary.
