OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG

The official name of breed - the Old English sheep-dog speaks for itself. She is a sheepdog is old English shepherd's breed. "Bobtail" in a translation from English is meant by «a scanty tail», breed so began to be called thanks to one interesting feature.

The matter is that puppies of this breed were born with short, a cult a figurative tail on the end. Its appearance for last hundred years practically has not changed that would be improbable, if breed was young.

First of all, the bobtail draws attention to itself the unique shape. This shaggy dog seems such lovely, house and cosy!

And really, the bobtail represents simply ideal partner and the favourite of all family, from the most younger to the most its senior member.

Even long-term cultivation of the whole generations of "exhibition" dogs at which selection the attention to working qualities was not paid, could not reduce natural intelligence of this breed.

Dogs, behind not numerous exceptions, are easily trained. They quickly seize and remember all directly "hurriedly". Even in the overflowed and noisy city streets the Old English sheepdog shows ideal obedience.

For sheepdogs and, especially for a bobtail, the strong aspiration of a dog to "please" the owner is characteristic.

They attentively observe of all event and perfectly independently estimate a situation, without requiring any explanatories and promptings to action.
