Why breed named so, nowadays it is necessary to guess only. This word - "boxer" or "boxel" - Germans quite often named Bullenbejserov for some decades before there were first present boxers.

In 1887 George Alt has brought from France to Munich to a twig on a name Flora in phylum of Brabant Bullenbejsera already disappearing in these edges. It also was the beginning of breeding work with breed the German boxer.

Boxers were from the very beginning bred exclusively as a guard dog, and this priority is sustained in delution of boxers and to this day. Therefore it is not surprising that in 1895 the boxer has been introduced for the first time as new independent breed at an exhibition.

Boxer-club building was a consequence of this exhibition. So it is considered to be 1895 official year of a birth of breed. The Boxer-club has spent the first independent exhibition on March, 29th, 1896, учаcтие in it have accepted 25 boxers.

The boxer
The first standard of the boxer has been accepted at once after Boxer-club formation in 1896 and corrected in 1902 and 1905, and in such kind it has existed very long. In the further development of breed to boxers has extraordinary carried: the destiny has presented it the genius.

Friderum Shtokman (in girlhood a background of Miriam), the 19-year-old student who was born in 1891 in Riga, has made a sculpture of the boxer which was exhibited in 1910 at an art exhibition at Munich and has drawn overall attention.

It was not simply the sculpture, it was the perspicacious prospection of the breed which have specified a path of development of breed for many years. Madam Shtokman has devoted all life to to make the boxer such to what it to herself has introduced it to those age-old times.

The success and good luck accompanied it. Only by the XX-th century end thanks to efforts of madam Shtokman and fans of breed from every corner of the globe the boxer became such what it saw the juvenile girl in 1910.

In 1911 Friderum in common with the spouse Phillip Shtokmanom, the artist by a trade, has based nursery on delution of the boxers, received the name "a background the House". This nursery for many years, up to 60th years, became the birthplace of the majority of outstanding boxers.

 

The German boxer
By the end of 40th years of the XX-th century boxers had time to win all world and necessity for the uniform organisation which would allow to co-ordinate breed development has matured. In May, 1950 in Strasbourg at the initiative of the French Boxer-club the organisation which has received name ATIBOX, united many countries has been founded.

Now in ATIBOX Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sudan, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, Hungary, Crete, Slovakia, Czechia, Slovenia, Yugoslavia, Peru, the USA, Russia consist.

Presently magnificent boxers can be met very much in many countries. The big honour German dogs Still use. Variety of German nurseries successfully conducts delution.

The boxer
The boxer - the lovely and pleasant partner, kind to the masters, tender with children, mistrustful to strangers. He/she is the reliable defender and the security guard of the house.

The boxer is easily trained, is a little obstinate, paddles and is playful. The dog needs a lot of locomotion, long walks, possibility to run about.

The future owner of the boxer should consider that these dogs are very sensitive to a cold. It is very easy to look after a wool.
