The Bullmastiff history is very interesting. The first mentions of this breed have appeared in the end of 18th century. This breed has been deduced in England specially for service to the person. Otherwise it is possible to name it: "a night dog of huntsmen".

It helped to protect the hunting grounds from poachers. Knocking down and keeping the weight of the foe, waited arrival of the owner. An excellent combination of two breeds: a mastiff and a bulldog, has generated the hardy, fearless and temperamental opponent to the armed poacher.

Presently this breed is used for service in English and American police, and also the company «De бирс» for protection of diamond mines in the republic of South Africa.

Bullmastiff

The Bullmastiff very much gets on with children. It is so tactful that cannot simply react aggressively to the small torturer. If something is not pleasant to it, it will simply leave on "place".
