Cа de Bestiar or the Malorksky sheep-dog was on the verge of disappearance and only in 1970, thanks to Spaniard Alonso Gvaspu, fast restoration of this breed has begun. On all country the remained individuals and hybrids of Bestiara have been collected.

The standard of breed has soon been accepted, Malortsy began to appear at exhibitions, there were clubs of this breed, more and more breed became popular, and in 1980 the Malorksky sheepdog officially recognised in FCI.

Cа de Bestiar was used basically as the shepherd's dog but when need for it has disappeared, it began to use as a protectively-guard dog. These dogs also were used for service in police, thanks to the ingenuity and obedience.

The secretary of modern club Ca de Bestiar, Hosep Bibiloni, explains us a situation of those times: "This breed which has symbolically remained in numerous hybrids, has been restored thanks to the limited group of people, thirty years ago.

After several years of gathering of the information and search of roots of breed, the pedigree standard has been developed and all fans of breed have achieved the objective: Ка de Bestiar has been officially recognised FCI.

Factory owners selected the best puppies and crossed them to the best individuals who have been chosen by standard working out. Now we can say that have reached full uniformity and uniformity, and we can feel satisfied though our task does not come to an end neither now, nor much later."

On the Balearic islands - the native land of Ca de Bestiara, are annually awarded titles of the Champion and Champion Malorki, and also the best breeding and the best reproducing Females. This title gives to the won dog the big prestige.
