The Belgian sheepdog was generated by the end of 19 centuries in Belgium where basically drew duty of the security guard and the shepherd.

By forces of cynologists it has been deduced four versions of the Belgian sheepdog, differing on a colour and wool type: a malinois, a groenendael, a laekenois and a tervueren.

All four versions are united under the uniform standard and have no cardinal distinctions both in behaviour, and in working qualities. Their distinction only on appearance.

The Belgian sheep-dog - an unpretentious and hardy dog, with considerably expressed security instinct, to the obedient owner and able to work independently if that is demanded by a situation.

The Belgian sheepdog is universal. It use and as the shepherd's dog, as security guard, as a dog for different kinds of sports from agilities to a life-saving service, at customs and in police.

But dogs from nursery where plant dogs for protectively-guard duty to take better not as the house favourite.

The short wool is easy in leaving. The dog is steady against a bad weather and various diseases, is hardy and unpretentious. Can contain in the street in the presence of a warm kennel.
