The Croatian sheepdog - the breed of the shepherd's dogs which practically have not changed since XIV century. Excellent shepherds and security guards, the Croatian sheepdogs draw duty and today.

The Croatian sheepdog is almost unknown outside of a native land where it throughout centuries protected herds and farms. There is a Croatian sheepdog, presumably, from the North Croatian sheepdog.

She is an attentive dog, with live character, extremely hardy, Croatian sheepdog easily gives in to training. It is suitable for various service, it is hazardous, unpretentious, easily adapts for changes of living conditions.

Quick and tireless dogs, unusually hard-working, they possess doubtless intelligence and firm character. Require constant friendly dialogue, are very adhered to the owner and members of his family, but mistrustfully concern strangers. In a city them do not contain.

Correct socialisation, patience and sequence is necessary at training. It is impossible to concern this dog roughly and sharply, differently contact to the owner will be broken.

The Croatian sheepdog is unusually similar to the Hungarian shepherd's breed - Mudi . These two breeds not only are similar on appearance, but also on manners of work and behaviour. Quite probably, Mudis and the Croatian sheepdog are related.
