Despite the history and an origin, the Neapolitan mastiff completely not furious animal and it is easy for supervising. Now it is a question of the clever and counterbalanced breed.

This transformation to character, possibly, originates since those times when the mastiff has been transported from Northern Italy where well knew and appreciated its aggression, in Southern where the people have managed to calm its impulses and to disseminate mistrust in the relation with the person.

Now for Neapolitan Mastiff the quiet temperament, soft in relation to children and valid to owners is characteristic. Besides, it is a question of a dog who is able to be pure, constrained and not dangerous.

The impressive size and known force do by its good security guard. Actually for this breed to rush but someone, it is necessary to be in a situation of the raised danger: in that case the dog does not bark, it publishes only deaf growl, remaining near to the opponent before its capitulation.

With similar to the dog behaves similarly: it does not try to be got involved in struggle but if it compel to fight with other dog, it always manages to impose the force.

Counterbalanced, with nerves of steel, backbone and boundless boldness the Neapolitan mastiff is ready to give a life for the owners. Therefore it is possible to leave easy on it the house without risk that it will escape and will create any problems.

As you can see, it is a question of an exclusive dog who completely deserves a place of honour among other breeds of the second group of guard dogs.
