Possibly, the Pinscher as breed was generated around Wurtemberg where it acted in a role of a universal dog, the watchman on a farm, thunder-storms of rodents, sometimes the hunter. Anyway, but authentic sources from which we could learn about an origin of breed are not present.

Skill of a Pinscher in catching of rats, its endurance from which he can run not one ten kilometres, plus selflessness both a rare scent and hearing, have drawn to it attention of owners of stagecoaches, to service to which Pinschers and have been enlisted".

Already by the end of 15 centuries, artful owners of stagecoaches used natural features of a Pinscher at the full capacity. These small dogs had to run all the day on a level with a horse, and at stops to protect master's property and to catch the rats bothering in stables to horses.

Centuries later when horse draught has departed in a non-existence necessity and for these surprising security guards has disappeared. Probably that we never also have not learnt about existence of Pinschers if by then their primogenitors had not time to occupy "niche" in the dog world and have not won heart of true judges thanks to which, now we can enjoy dialogue with remarkable representatives of the dog world - Pinschers.

Basically, in the beginning of origin of breed, from a Pinscher it was not required any ex-terrier. Necessary qualities were mind and unpretentiousness, and also endurance. And already in the Pinscher XIX-th century it was possible to meet in any place.

Soon the standard Pinscher became the ancestor of a tiny sleek-haired Pinscher (Zwergpinscher) which are mentioned with already from middle Х1Х of a century. And still the third of the century later, in 1870, Frederik the Doberman has deduced breed which will carry his name in Thuringia.

Pinscher
Second half of XIX-th century marks itself the beginning of purposeful selection. The first exhibition of dogs in Germany has passed in Hanover in 1878, in 1900 the similar exhibition will be organised in Stuttgart where dwarfish breeds are exposed.

The first official standard of breed a Pinscher is made in 1880 by Richard Shtrebelem. The Pinscher-club is based in 1895 Zhozefom Berta who has headed it. It has put the problem division of numerous versions of Pinschers into separate breeds.

Thus, sharp distinctions between wire-haired and sleek-haired categories of dogs are spent. At this stage the new name is fixed to wire-haired Pinschers - schnauzers.

Standard German Pinscher
Like a Zwergpinscher, the standard Pinscher has extremely high activity and hazardous behaviour. In general it is very friendly and playful dogs when they are properly socialised.

It is not necessary to leave this active dog alone with the kid, it is fraught with traumas and bruises. So active dog can jump on the child and hurt it.

The German Pinscher - very quick dog, is the ideal sports partner for run or cycling. Despite the activity in the street, houses he behaves easy and silently.
