Puli on appearance it is very similar to the Tibetan terrier. It is considered that this breed of the Puli occurs from the Persian sheepdog or ancient Asian sheepdogs.

Puli has come on the Hungarian plains together with nomad tribes the Magyar in XI century. A Puli always used for a cattle stage. When the livestock of dogs has decreased, them more often steels to involve for protection of farms as sentry.

Applied a Puli as well in politsejsko-search work. In 1930 of a Puli have brought to the USA, and in 6 years the American club of dog breeders officially recognised breed of the Puli.

She is a hardy and cheerful dog, very dexterous, well jumps. Betrayed, clever, tender. Possesses independent character, it is resolute and independent, most of all loves, when all family gathers.

Perfectly gets on with children. To strangers it is suspicious, always on the alert and it is ready to give the alarm, giving a signal the hoarse bark. Training should be begun early and to conduct softly.

Magnificent a dog (grazes sheep, goats, a horned cattle), the hunting dog-retriever (it is especially effective on a duck), and also a sentry dog and a dog-partner.

To city conditions can adapt, but requires long walks and physical activities. The wool of a dog hanging down by cords does not need to be combed neither a hairbrush, nor a brush.

Approximately with 8-12 months cords divide fingers that the wool did not fall down, from roots of hair by the ends. To wash a Puli follows only when the dog will be soiled.
