Pumi - breed of the shepherd's dogs deduced in Hungary in a XVIII-th century. It occurs from a Puli which crossed to the French and German dogs.

Within three centuries there was a formation and improvement of type pumi, and today they use a great popularity.

At pumi congenital propensity to be as it is possible more close to the owner and his family. She is very obedient and vigilant dog, with self-respect. Pumi are undemanding to maintenance conditions, have perfectly proved as police and sentry dogs.

Breed is multipurpose, used as shepherds, security guards of herds, watchmen, assistants to hunters and partners.

The dog easily gives in to training, prefers to be always in a society of the owner, but suspiciously concerns to all not being members of a family.

Always loudly barks, it is its feature, the sensitive sentry, it is aggressive at an attack and property protection. Feature - aspiration to vagrancy.

Pumi - a vigorous and strong shepherd's dog. In Hungary lives and works basically on farms. It is successfully used as a sentry dog and a hunting dog.

Probably blood of ancient terriers clears up in it interest to hunting for wild animals - foxes and badgers. This dog the ideal security guard for lonely farms, houses, factories is always ready to attack with deafening bark the stranger.
