Schapendoes - the ancient Dutch shepherd's breed of dog almost dissolved in numerous hybrids of other national breeds. The Dutch scientist Tyopyol the first has found out the remained copies of ancient breed and has collected from all country of dogs. Which else remained thoroughbred.

In 1968 of a Schapendoes recognised officially, but breed does not use till now huge popularity. Not numerous nurseries and factory owners remained are true to breed and all also carefully are engaged in breed cultivation.

The Schapendoes is playful also oars, it is very adhered to the owner and demands very much a great attention to itself, and also requires close dialogue with the owner.

With this dog it is possible to be engaged agilities, Frizbi, run and any other sports. The Schapendoes is active and temperamental - to it loadings, frequent walks and the big vital space are required.

The Schapendoes is easily trained, is very clever and quick-witted. He/she is the vigilant and reliable watchman, but it is never aggressive.

Dogs are not legible in meal, are unpretentious and can live open-air at obligatory presence of a warm kennel. Care of a wool of an adult dog is minimum. To comb a curly wool of a Schapendoes about time in two weeks enough.
